PureForge, a global leader in the innovation of advanced surface nano-technology, today announced that the Board of Directors has unanimously elected Nigel Francis as Chief Executive Officer effective April 12, 2017. Mr. Francis will also become a member of the Board. Mr. Francis brings more than 30 years of relevant automotive industry and technology monetization experience and relationships having served in a variety of highly successful automotive and technology companies. He succeeds Mark Franco, interim CEO and Chairman. “We welcome Nigel’s experience and leadership to PureForge.” said Mark Franco. “After a thorough and deliberate selection process, the Board of Directors is delighted that Nigel will lead PureForge’s future growth and navigate the landscape of its expansive intellectual property and licensing opportunities globally. In his new role as chief executive, he will be responsible for defining and delivering against the Company’s strategic goals and objectives.”

Meckel, President, CTO and Director of PureForge. Mr. Francis has experience in leading and transitioning organizations to make them world leaders. Before joining PureForge, he held senior leadership positions with a number of automotive companies including American Axle & Manufacturing [NYSE: AXL), Bright Automotive, and Mercedes Benz Technology. He is well known for his service as Senior Automotive Advisor to the Governor of Michigan where he helped secure over $6 billion foreign direct investment as well as created over 30,000 new automotive engineering jobs into the state and the U.S.

Mr. Francis holds a Bachelor's of Science degree from Brunel University in London, England. Professional affiliations include fellow, Institute of Mechanical Engineers of Great Britain; chartered engineer-Great Britain; and advisory board member to the University of Michigan's Michigan Mobility Transformation Center's (MTC) and Dearborn External Advisory Boards, Lawrence Technological University External Advisory Board and to Purdue University School of Engineering Technology.
